General
If you have a gun that fits you well, measure from the trigger to the back of the recoil pad. If not, call one of our experts at MG Arms and they will walk you through the process.
MG Arms is a licensed FFL (Federal Firearms License) Dealer. With that license, we are obligated by federal law to complete a background check and submit the ATF Form 4473 on all gun sales. This is either done directly in our Brick and Mortar location or through a transfer to another FFL Dealer in your location. If a transfer to another location is required, that FFL Dealer may charge a fee for the process of the ATF Forms and background checks required.
MG Arms enjoys the challenge of building custom firearms. If you can dream it up, we will do our best to build it for you. We only have three criteria:
- Is it safe?
- Is it legal?
- Can you afford it?
Yes. MG Arms recommends Swarovski Optik for precision long-range optics and is an Authorized Swarovski Dealer. However, if you would prefer a different brand of scope give us a call to discuss.
Gunsmithing
Yes, we have a full-service Gunsmithing department. Please see our Gunsmithing page or call us for more details.
MG Arms makes composite stocks for most bolt action rifles. We also offer four different designs of stocks. All of our stocks have to bitted to your rifle, they are not considered “drop” in. We can restock your rifle if you desire. Check out our Gunsmithing page for more information.
Ultra-Light Rifle FAQs
MG Arms offers stocks for youth, women, and gorillas. We offer four different styles of stocks, including our ergonomic thumbhole stocks designed for a more balanced shooting experience. Please call one of our experts at MG Arms to discuss which stock is right for you.
The type of action depends on the caliber that you choose. MG Arms can provide long, short, standard and magnum actions.
Typically MG Arms rifles have 60% less recoil than most firearms on the market. Because of the design and material of our stocks, our Super Eliminator™ muzzle brake, and a soft recoil pad that doesn’t collapse under recoil, the MGA Ultra-Light is the most comfortable shooting rifle in the world.
The Super Eliminator™ Muzzle Break is our own design. Because of the configuration of the holes and the baffle system, our muzzle breaks are quieter than most. The break can be built in a smaller diameter to fit the smallest of barrels while diffusing more recoil energy.
We use the Jewell Trigger on the Ultra-Light. This trigger is adjustable from 1 to 3 lbs.
MG Arms uses light-weight stainless steel barrels from Pac-Nor Barreling, Inc.
The MGA Ultra-Light is built off of a Remington 700 action and is available in calibers from .17 Remington to a .458 Lott.
Yes, we can build the Ultra-Light in a left-handed action. There is an up-charge of $200 and the availability is limited.
The overcall cost of the rifle is reduced by $700 if the customer supplies the action.
The MGA Ultra-Light rifle can be custom built as light as 4-3/4 lbs. Most calibers will weight between 4-3/4 lbs. and 5-3/4 lbs. depending on the caliber and barrel length.
Our accuracy guarantee on the Ultra-Light rifles is between .4-.6 MOA*.
*Depending on caliber and bullet. Based on three shots at 100 yards.
